Suppressor use in Oklahoma

I'm thinking about buying my first suppressor in Oklahoma and trying to understand what I'm getting into. A buddy went through the process last year and said the wait time was brutal but worth it. Are there any Oklahoma-specific regulations I should know?

Suppressors are totally legal in Oklahoma for ownership and hunting, we're a very friendly state for them. The wait is federal (ATF Form 4), but the current eForm times are way faster than a year ago, you could be seeing it in weeks, not months...

Given that Oklahoma is a suppressor-friendly state with relatively few state-level restrictions, are you planning on filing as an Individual to potentially get the fastest eForm approval, or are you going with an NFA Trust so your wife or other family members can legally use it without you being present?

Buy through a dealer or trust, submit fingerprints, file Form 4, then test the can, Oklahoma adds no special state permit for silencers, but check public-land rules before hunting.

Expect an NFA tax stamp and paperwork, eForm times are much shorter now, yet always carry your tax stamp while hunting and confirm local rules with the Oklahoma Wildlife Department
