So I ran a course that had teal, crossing rabbits, chandelle, simultaneous pairs, and springing teal and every single station ended up demanding something a little different from me. I walked away good at two of them and thoroughly humbled at the other five, which was a pretty efficient way to spend an afternoon feeling both confident and deflated in equal measure. If you really want a sincere read on your shotgunning, sporting clays might be the most complete test out there, because it doesn't let you hide behind the one skill you're actually good at. Run a full course sometime and pay close attention to exactly where your score falls apart, that's usually where the real work is waiting for you.
