Ever had a firearm stolen from you?

Years back, someone swiped my rifle from my unlocked truck (Big mistake on my part)
Has anyone else had a firearm stolen? and what did you do about reporting it or getting it back? You can also share tips for keeping them safe

That happened to me once. I left a shotgun in my truck one night because I got in late and was driving. It was gone in the morning. I told the police right away but I never got it back. Now I lock everything up and use a cable safe no matter what.
