Dry fire draws from concealment, reload practice with snap caps, malfunction clearance drills and moving while drawing. All are doable in your house safely. Most defensive skills don't require live fire to practice. The muscle memory work happens at home, the range just confirms you did it right.

For defensive shooting drills at home, dry fire has taught me way more discipline than live fire ever did. I've learned to slow down, think about my movements and get confident without wasting ammo.

Dry fire taught me discipline. Checking the gun and going through the basics made range time feel like a way to check what I already knew.
