Bolt action rifles (under $1000)

I need a good & accurate bolt action rifle for range days and hunting, but I don't want to spend a fortune ( something under $1000). What's the best bang for my buck in terms of accuracy and build?

If I had to pick something for under a grand, I’d go with a Savage Precision or a Tikka T3. Throw a scope on it, adjust the trigger, grab some match ammo and you'll be nailing those small groups

Yep, you can find some really good, accurate rifles that won't break the bank. The Tikka T3x Lite has super smooth action, the Bergara B-14 Ridge sports a fantastic barrel...the Savage 110 Apex Hunter XP is a steal since it comes with a scope

The Tikka's action is smoother but the Bergara has more upgrade choices later, either way, you're golden.

Think about a Ruger American or a used Remington 700. Put the rest of your money into a good scope and bedding...good glass and fit are better than fancy parts for you.
