Best Budget Scope for Deer Hunting Under $300

I'm looking for a reliable scope for deer hunting that won't break the bank. What have you experienced with scopes under $300 that hold zero well in the field and provide good clarity?

Hands down a Leupold 3-9. I've been through all sorts of other scopes and sold tons of others and for the price, quality, clarity the Leupolds are tough to beat.

Additionally the gold rings are made in the US.
