For me, it’s gotta be a Smith & Wesson 642 Airweight, the old school J-Frame. I've tried the fancy polymer stuff and the beefier .357s. But for daily carry (where it just disappears in a pocket or on my ankle) that little aluminum-framed .38 is the ticket. It’s five shots of pure, simple reliability. Sure, the recoil with +P rounds is a little spicy, it feels like a tiny aluminum grenade going off, but it's a piece of cake to conceal, and it's always ready to rock. You just pull the trigger, and boom. No snags, no safeties, just peace of mind.
Classic American dependability!
